Specificity:
Anti-MRP-14 clone 47-8D3 reacts with
macrophages and detects the well-known
leukocyte L1, cystic fibrosis antigen. Using
Western blot analysis 47-8D3 was found to
detect a single protein band of 14 kDa in lysates
of human monocytes and granulocytes, which
was demonstrated to be the calcium-binding
protein MRP14.
Species Reactivity:
Human. Others not tested.

Hybridoma:
A BALB/c mouse was immunized with human
peripheral blood monocyte components.
Splenocytes were fused with mouse myeloma
cell line NS-1.
Format:
100 μg purified monoclonal antibody.
Storage:
Store at 4°C for short term. Aliquot and store at
-20°C for long term. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw
cycles.
Applications:

Western blot

Immunohistochemistry (Frozen and paraffin)
Staining strongly enhanced after digestion
with Trypsin).

ELISA
This antibody may be used for phenotypical
characterization of macrophages and
myelomonocytic cells in situ.
The optimal dilution for a specific application
should be determined by the researcher.
